Each lunch is themed on a different topic, whether it be on the parkland and lakes, or the walled garden. We will give an insight into Swinton’s gardening style, and guests will be given a tour up to the parkland to view the daffodils or rhododendrons and azaleas.
The menus for garden lunches will include several ingredients from the garden, with recipe cards from the Executive Chef. Our garden team will explain the choice of produce, with tips for cultivation and harvesting, cooking or preserving .
Arrive at 12.15pm to tea and coffee in Swinton Park’s Drawing Room. With lunch served at 1pm in one of Swinton Estate’s ‘Estate to Plate’ restaurants, where the menu utilises produce from the Walled Garden and the wider 20,000 acre Estate.
One of the family members will lead a talk on the history of the house and gardens followed by a guided walk* round the Walled Garden and Lakes, finishing between 4pm and 4.30pm.
